Job Description
Entry: #3
Interest in the Job: A Crime Scene Investigator seems to be a very interesting job, although, it does not have a lot of things I am personally interested in. Therefore, on a scale from 1-10, I will give it a 4.
Education/Training/Certifications: If you would rather work in a lab rather than working in the field collecting evidence, you will need at least a bachelor's degree; natural science and forensic science are general degrees you may pursue. However, those who work in the field do not need a bachelor's degree, and in some cases rural departments will hire people that only have a high school diploma, and then will provide them with training on the job.
Responsibilities and/or Daily Activities: Responsible for identifying, collecting, and documenting the physical evidence found at a crime scene.
Salary: The average Crime Scene Investigator makes about $55,000 a year, although, salary may vary depending on the location of the job.
