Education/Training/Certifications: Individuals will first need to obtain a bachelor’s degree in anthropology. Next will be obtaining Master's degree or a Ph.D, in order to pursue a successful career.
Responsibilities and/or Daily Activities: Applied: Will work with a law enforcement agency, a coroner’s office, or directly with medical examiners. Visiting crimes scenes to observe human remains and determine the cause of death, the age of the individual(s), the sex, the height, and the time of death. Academic: Will work at colleges and universities teaching classes and performing individual research projects.
Salary: For individuals with more than five years experiences will have an average salary around $54,000- $75,000 per year.
