Interest in the Job: On a scale from 1-10 my interest in being a toxicologist is a 4. Being a toxicologist seems to be a very interesting job with a high paying salary, however, I myself am not wishing to pursue this career.
Education/Training/Certifications: Most applicants wishing to become a Toxicologist must obtain a Bachelor of Science degree in either biology, toxicology, biochemistry, or another similar field. Although, it is recommended, to be more competitive, to further your learning and obtain a Master's degree. Also toxicologists must continue their education to keep their skills up to date with the field always changing.
Responsibilities and/or Daily Activities: Conduct laboratory studies on substances to determine whether or not the substance is toxic to living things.
Salary: The salary for a toxicologist range between $48,351- $101,575, with the average salary being $80,000.
